Four pieces that should be in every woman’s closet

No matter what’s your style there are four pieces that every woman must have in her closet: A pair of pumps, a blazer, a pair of dark jeans and a white button-down. It’s the basic Casual Friday uniform. The white button-down looks crisp (per-assumed you replace them on regular basic before they get yellow(-ish). this post addresses which cuts are best for your primary personal style.

The cut differs, but the material is the same

Of course, the jeans differ depending on your style preferences. Flared jeans are a Bohemian Style woman’s favorite, while boyfriends are the casual girls or California Casual girls best friends. The American Classic lady favors a straight or boot-cut style. The hard-to-die Rock’n Roll gal loves a pair of skinnies. No matter which pair, they look best in a dark wash.

What to look for in a white button-down

The most important thing of a button-down shirt in general, is the placement of the second button. You know, these awkward gaps that may occur when that button is in the wrong place.

An easy fix: Add a push button.

Look for a wrinkle-free one. Most the time, it’s one wear and back into the laundry. Thus, unless ironing is your hobby, make sure you get a low maintenance version. Replace the shirt every year. Sweat and deodorizer yield yellow spots under the arms. Not stylish at all.

Tip: About 10 to 15 min before washing, add white vinegar on the underarm fabric to slow that “aging” process down. Wash as usual.

Pointy toe pumps with 3 inch heels are so sexy

As you know, I am on heels since age 14. Full disclosure, I have trouble walking on flats, but can easily catch a bus in a 4 inch (10 cm) heel. Go for a heels that you can comfortably walk in. Make sure you are fully aware of the merchants’ tricks so you won’t end up with a pair of heels you can only walk in in the store, but nowhere else.

Best blazers for your lifestyle

When you live in the subtropics a lines blazer is a great option to stay cool and in style. Just be aware that it’s the natural look of linen to look wrinkled. No matter how much you iron. Thus, just don’t do it. When your style is American Classic, California Casual or Western Style a suede or brown leather blazer is a great investment. When your work dress code is corporate, business casual or your personal style is Euro Chic a navy blue with gold buttons sailor blazer is a great choice. Eclectic, business or British Casual or Punk style? Try a tartan or plaid wool blazer. When your have Gamine Style try a school boy blazer.

I love this style of jeans Nicole – they’re one of my favorites, I find them so flattering, my legs are not the longest, so this style elongates them – the style is very “Rock n Roll” and you look fabulous in them. Thank you so much for featuring me in your post!
