How to wear sneakers today

This time around, it is not the white clunky tennis shoe anymore! Go for a dressy sneaker, colorful, embellished, metallic, may be with slight wedge heel, but most importantly much, a much slimmer version than the sneakers of the 80s.

Always make sure you wear re-surfaced old trends the new way! In other words, drop the old fashion rules like no white after Labor Day, or in the case of the sports shoe trend, white tennis shoes with white socks blue acid wash jeans and wide shoulder blazer and/or sweater. So 80s, so Old Lady.

Avoid styling them with washed out jeans or a pants suit. Think Karlie Kloss wearing a camel coat, white jeans, slim white sneakers and a white shirt doing her famous walk.
