Fall and winter ask for a hat to avoid getting cold. Especially, when your outerwear occassionally becomes your work gear when visiting clients, it’s important to don a hat that matches with your outwear. This post is a Seville wool felt boater review.

Disclosure: Ad. The hat is a sample from Tenth Street Hats. The post is not endorsed by them. I wrote it entirely myself and it represents my own 100% honest opinion.
What Made Me Want to Try this Boater?
I have been a hat lover since I have been a toddler. I love fedoras, berets, wide-brim hats with round crowns and derby hats. But it never occurred to me to try a boater, until I saw the sleek silhouette of this elegant wool felt boater hat on the website of Tenth Street. My immediate thought was “Wow that beauty is great for a sunny day out to wear with my maxi leather coats.” It even matches their colors with its black body and the cream colored leather bow!
It is made from wool felt with raw edges, which provides a unique character. The brim is 3 inches wide (7.5 cm) and the crown measures 4 inches (10 cm) high. It’s pressed in form, i.e., brim or crown are stiff as it should be for this style of head topper.
A Hat that Makes You Dream
When I opened the package and first held the hat in my hands, was like “I wish I had a flamenco dress to go with it.” The hat reminded me of an embroidered card that my Grandpa Oscar sent me from Seville, Spain. It reminded me of the flamenco dances, paella, fish soup, and great vacations. The Brooklyn designers picked the perfect name for this head piece.

A Perfect Complement for a Sleek Silhouette
I love a sleek look. This gaucho’s favorite is a unique complement to my favorite maxi coats. Finally, I found a head piece that looks perfect with them. What do you think? Let me know in the comments, I am curious.
What I Love about the Seville
Well, nobody sees it, but the lining inside (see next photo) is adorable! Such a love for details!
Ordering the Seville doesn’t involve ambiguous measuring of your head size because of its adjustable Inner Velcro®. It’s a one size fits most and comes with sizing tape. This means you can adjust the fit easily to your size. All you have to do is to simply add a piece of sizing tape under the sweat band. It can’t get easier than that. I love how effective this idea circumvents the hassle of finding out my head size.
I also love the high quality and that this boater is very affordable at $50 even on a budget.
Tenth Street Hats’ Promise
They want you to love your hat and allow free exchanges on every order. They have a 30-day, hassle-free return or exchange policy as well as a one-year, craftsmanship guarantee on their hats. They’ll replace your damaged hat for free within the first 12 months. How great is that?
Who will love the Brooklyn wool felt gaucho boater?
This hat is a perfect fit for everyone who looks for a sleek silhouette. It’s a great piece to have when your style is Romantic Style Scandinavian Minimalism, Dramatic, or modern Bohemian Style. It also works with a casual western inspired outfit as well as with a classic cape. For sure, the wearer will turn heads.
I definitely can recommend this Brooklyn Seville to my friends. You can find this and a great selection of other beautiful felt hats for women online from the safety of your home. Why not giving a gift to yourself this holiday season?

Nicole, I love that boater hat style!! We don’t often see it right now as everybody is wearing fedoras and cowboy style, but that is a great style! I love it with your many cute coats! Thanks for the inspiration.

I’ve never owned a boater hat, but I love, love, love how you’ve styled it! It is really pretty with the long coats… and I can just tell you’re a dancer by these photos, you have such grace in your poses!

Thanks for the feature! That dress was really popular! I really love it with a layer so I might have to do a post with how to wear it different ways!
I love wearing hats and your boater hat is fabulous! I love that it’s adjustable! Thank you so much for the feature this week!
