- Summary of Apricot Summer Dress Collection Review
Disclosure: Ad. The floral print dress is a sample of my choice from Apricot. The post is not endorsed by them. I wrote it entirely myself and it represents my own 100% honest opinion.
Apricot Recalls Sweet Childhood Memories
When I was a kid, my favorite jam was apricot. I also loved the fruits as a dessert, on a tarte or baked in a cake. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a tree in my parents’ yard. Therefore, these fruits were rare treats. Nevertheless, they gave me a positive association with apricot. Thus, when I saw an Apricot ad that suggested a London-based clothing brand, I had to take a look.
Two of my favorite things in one!
A Fashionista’s Paradise
When I saw the collection, it was a great treat. Everything from occasion dresses to work and play at affordable prices. Occasion garments get you covered from a beach wedding to an afternoon wedding. Think maxi dresses with animal or floral prints or in modern Bohemian Style and lace application sheath dresses in peach.
Beautiful details like the sexy keyholes in the modest neckline. Or a cute belt to accentuate the waist.
Prints reach from bold to small. For instance, a white dragon fly on a solid color dress or evergreen classic polka dots.
Cuts are classic with a twist for interest. Sexy side slits of just the right length. High-low hem and handkerchief hem dresses for play. Perfect for your vacation and weekend look.
Sleeves range from puff sleeves, ruched to cup. Many items have 3/4 length. This length is perfect for arm shy women. It also meets most work dress codes. The 3/4 length covers bingo wings and dry skin elbows (my problem). Sure that sleeveless and shoulder-free are also options. Take a look at Apricot’s collection yourself! You’ll love it.
Small Floral Print Is So It French Chic
When I opened the package, the only thing missing was the scent of the fruit. The navy background permits wearing the dress to the office in summer. The fabric feels soft and high quality. Not like what you often see in summer dresses. The length allows wearing stockings or knee-highs to stay cool in the summer heat.
A big advantage, when your work dress code asks for legwear!
The sizing runs rather on the large than small end. Since I am between sizes, I had ordered the larger of the two sizes. However, I think the smaller size would have worked too.
For my money, this Apricot navy print dress is worth more than it’s price (£29.00).
A Pretty Go to Piece for Instant Style!
This summer dress is a key element wardrobe addition when you love Romantic Style, French Chic, Gamine Style or Classic with a twist. It is very versatile aka slow fashion. The dress is work appropriate in a casual work environment and with a cardigan in a business casual work space. It also permits you going from work to picnic or biergarten. You can wear it for shopping the Farmers Market, for play on the weekend and for shopping the beach malls on vacation. Let’s cross fingers that we can travel this summer!
