A Fit-and-flare Dress Works at Any Age
Before buying this one, I only had one other fit-and-flare dress in my closet. I had that dress bought for swing dancing, i.e. it had to be fit-and-flare to get the style of that epoch right. However, when I saw this black leather fit-and-flare dress I had to try it out. I was a little skeptical because of the girlishness, but my husband loved the dress on me so I tried it. To stay warm, I wear tights and a half slip. I added my fuchsia cashmere sweater that I knotted in the front as it would hang too long when worn open and hence destroy the nipped-in waist of the dress. Too toughen it up I added my Harley Davidson booties. To keep it polished and grown up I finished the outfit with three strings of pearls.

This leather dress twirls really nicely when I spin during dancing. I really love spinning. To not show too much I always wear biker shorts under all my dance dresses. Yes, there are underwear issues when dancing. I always try to have the bikers in a matching color to my dress so it does look seamless and not funny.
You Can Wear a Leather Dress in Winter and Summer
Sure, you can wear your LBD yearround. It just depends on the forecast for the afternoon temperature. They should not lead to sweating and/or muggy weather conditions. As long as it remains around room temperatures, you can wear leather in spring and summer.
I like black. It is such a nice canvas for any pattern, for instance, the stripes, or accessories, for instance, these colorful bangles, and the dotted silk scarf. I had to wait very long for this leather dress as it was on back order when I ordered it online. However, the dress was worth the wait. It is so versatile as any other LBD. One can dress it up or down. Due to the cut of the skirt it can even go girly.
Here I combined it with a striped sweater and black tights. The scarf and bangles at a pop of color. The stripes of the sleeves take the LBD to work appropriate. In warmer climate, this outfit would be a perfect work to dinner combo. Just take off the sweater, and switch the accessories to more bling , and you would be ready for a night on the town.
You can wear a black fit-and-flare dress for many ocassions. The important thing is that the look is so your personal style and works with your body shape.
