Great style when art meets fashion
Today I want to introduce you to Uno Alla Volta. They sell great artisan made items and help artisans to keep traditional art alive. When you are a regular reader you know that I especially love their great jewelry, hats, bags, and scarves. In case, you missed it the links lead you to my post on their Murano seed beads necklace I got last Christmas, my review of a Valentine’s Day Murano heart pendant necklace, and the review of an artisan made shamrock scarf.
A marbled hand-made scarf is as unique as its wearer
The marbled silk scarf I styled in the outfits of this post is made by their Connecticut artisan Lucille. I love the purple, teal, pink, and fuchsia of this scarf. These colors are so me! If these colors are not so you, don’t worry. She makes this marbleized pattern in all kind of color combination. You may have seen her scarf in fall colors on my Gift Inspiration page. You can have a scarf in this technique also in the evergreen classic black and white. So chic!
How a marbled swirl pattern is made
The technique to create this swirl pattern is fascinating. Each scarf is placed upon water that has been combed with the color pigments. Consequently, even when the same colors are used no two scarf will ever look exactly the same. This means each piece is as unique as its wearer.
Great price-performance ratio
Scarves are wardrobe accessories for years to come. It’s incredible, but true that you can get an unique accessory for just $60, and it comes with a certificate of authenticity! Thus, the scarf is a collector’s item for a bargain. Given a tenure of a decade or more, the scarf gets under $1 per wear fast. That’s what I call a great-price-performance ration.
This artisan made accessory is easy to style
I got so many compliments on this Uno Alla Volta hand-made swirl scarf. It is perfect to up your style! A scarf takes a simple T-shirt plus jeans up a notch. It adds a pop of color to a LBD. It is also a perfect addition to any work wardrobe.
More features to love about this neck piece
The scarf has hand-rolled sides. It comes with a nice clip that is covered with marbled silk and a great instruction sheet with several ways how to tie an oblong scarf. I tested them all and they all worked out fine, but in this post I show how I tie the scarf my way.
