There’s no better way to workout than to do it outdoors. You can stretch, run, lift weights, or perform relaxing yoga poses under the warm sun and on the fresh grass. While you’re breaking a sweat outdoors, there isn’t much room for fashion. Finding a balance between looking good and being comfortable while working out can often feel challenging. Here’s how you can look effortlessly chic while working out outdoors.

Choose a Fabric that Supports You

If you choose to work outside, especially when the weather is unpredictable, your fabric of choice will matter as much as your style. The best workout gear must be breathable, sweat-wicking, and weather-appropriate.

Look for moisture-wicking fabrics like polyester blends, nylon, or bamboo that keep you dry and cool. If you’re used to quickly changing weather in your area, consider lightweight layers. This choice makes it easier for you to remove or add pieces as needed.

Your Activewear Must be Comfortable

Everyone wants to look good in their activewear. The more confident you look, the better you will perform. Today, you have many options. These options include a combination of skirts and shorts (skorts) made of stretchy, soft material that gives you comfort with style.

Don’t Shy Away from Makeup

Most women may feel that going makeup-free is the best way to hit the gym or to workout outdoors. However, makeup can add the extra confidence you need to survive a gym session.

All you need to do is ensure that the product you select will not run down your face or clog your pores. Mineral makeup is your best bet if you have particularly acne-prone or oily skin. You can also opt for a tinted moisturizer. Some even have SPF-30 added, reducing the risk of sunburn.

For an extra boost of confidence, a light spritz of fragrant Jean Paul Gaultier perfume can be a great finishing touch. Many fitness enthusiasts enjoy the designer’s lighter fragrance options for outdoor activities.

Make Your Outfit Pop with Color

Even if you have been exercising for as long as you can remember, there are still days when you just don’t feel like getting out of bed and beginning to exercise. There’s always one thing that can lift up your mood and get you motivated to workout.

Color! You can invest in a few bright colors for your athletic wear and add those to your wardrobe to brighten your mood. The type of colors you choose depends on your tastes. Choose a colorful top and pair it with something black (perhaps a tracksuit or shorts). That’s bound to push you outdoors to complete that workout!

From my experience getting out is easier when you love your sports clothes.

Your Flowing Hair

If you have long hair, consider it a rule to tie them back. You don’t want them sticking to your sweaty back during a workout. In fact, that is one of the first flaws that a personal fitness trainer might point out. Consider choosing between ponytails, buns, or simple plaits. The goal is simply to keep your hair out of the way for both comfort and safety.

What’s Next to Being Effortlessly Chic While Working Out?

Quite a lot goes into a successful workout routine. Not many people consider grooming and dressing up as one reason for a day well spent outdoors. However, the importance of dressing up for your workout cannot be stressed enough.

All you need to ensure is that whatever you go for makes you feel comfortable, powerful, and motivated. The rest will eventually fall into place!

  1. Hi, Nicole – I’ve been thinking of buying a pretty new yoga outfit. And this is inspiring me to put my hair up instead of just tying it straight back. I’ve gotten really laid back since Covid because I had a reaction to the vaccine which made me sick for a long time. Thanks for making these points – Angie, yourtrueselfblog.com
