Look like a Queen on V-Day
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. You significant other made a reservation for a formal dinner, or bought tickets for the opera or a ball. Whatever, it puts forward the question how to look attractive and sexy for a Valentine’s date over 50. Well, a little black dress always is appropriate. But you did that last year. The red blouse and black pencil skirt from the year before last year was great for that restaurant with the casual dress code. The red beach dress you wore three years ago when celebrating the day at the beach during your vacation is a no-no for the current occasion.
I browsed Angrila’s collection for the best red looks to wear on February 14. No matter what you choose to wear, remember that
Showing less skin is so much more sexy than nude skin on all burners. #agelessstyle #Vday Click To TweetMy favorite Valentine’s Day dresses for a formal dinner
When your sweetie planned a formal dinner a little red dress is a great option. A sheath gives you an hour glass figure, looks incredibly elegant, but sexy. When you have well-tuned arms and your favorite feature are your collar bones, and you are tall enough to pull off the ruches, the dress in the photo below is a great choice. Pair it with high stiletto heels to look slim. Add a black stole to stay warm in case the resturant is cool. Accessorize with bangles and chandeliers and elegant updo, nude panty hose, a black clutch and patent leather stilettos.

When you prefer to cover your arms and/or love the bell sleeve trend, this simple, affordable Angrila formal robe is a great choice. To avoid adding the illusion of weight go for burgundy like in the photo below instead of red. The tint of black in the burgundy makes the fabric dark adding a slimming effect. Add pearl studs, a pendant necklace and patent leather pumps in the same color. A cream color clutch would be awesome.

Gowns to look best at a sweetheart ball
Girls like to dance. When you are so lucky to go to a ball, a red gown with a long slit is so sexy when your best feature are your legs. Silver sandals with closed back and long earrings are a great finishing touch. Nude nail polish and clutch. So understated posh sexy. Tip: Flaunt what you’ve got left.
Try a retro look when it comes to dancing. This 1950s inspired fit-and-flare beauty would be perfect at a swing-dance party with a pony tail and black-and-white spectator Mary-Janes and a metal clutch.

When your style is minimalist, you will love this simple maxi piece.

Try a romantic, sexy red lace look
When your style is Bohemian or you are a hard-to-die romantic gal, Valentine’s Day is the occasion to wear lace. Here are my picks in this category. For a dinner date
