Sheath dresses are instant summer work style
There is something cool and practical about sheath dresses. They are very versatile. You can make multiple outfits with a sheath that look completely different. Plus depending on the material, they work in three seasons.Sheath dresses are so versatile as dress, skirt, top, with cardigan, a layering top or shirt underneath. #budgetfashion Click To Tweet
A trendy new sheath to update my warm season wardrobe
I wanted to add one of these trendy cool, crazy, weird – you name it – print dresses to my wardrobe. Since you never know how long the trend will last, it shouldn’t be expensive, but have a classic cut. When I saw this dress I ordered it immediately as it fits my bill: Classic posh cut plus an It print. When I received the package, I was impressed by the much higher quality than I expected. The piece is well sewn together; the fabric edges are stitched so they won’t start distressing when in the washer. It’s a very nice jersey piece. No loose threads!
Always read the size chart
Read the size chart prior to ordering. The dress is very close to the measures given in the size chart. According to the chart I was a size M. Size doesn’t matter, but fit does. Except for jeans I tend to order the larger size when I am between two sizes. Why? You can always make s.th. smaller, but wider is a problem.
A sheath is perfect for work travel
I have some work travel coming up. This new wardrobe addition solved my problem what to wear and pack on these 2-day business trips. A sheath dress makes a great pencil skirt with a loose light sweater worn over it. Perfect for chilly air-conditioned meeting rooms in the warm season or in winter. In Summer, when going outside, just pull off the sweater, knot it around your waist, and you are ready for a lunch outside when down in the South. On a rainy day, a shirt underneath looks professional. On the plane, a sheath with cardigan and trench is a great idea for a first class upgrade on a light weight fly out of Alaska.
The dress is versatile to style
I like the cut and bold print as well as that the item is sewn nicely. The many different colors of the print make it easy to wear the dress in different ways. See the photos in this post. A sheath with a turtleneck underneath is an instant work outfit for the cold season and rescue last minute dressing problems.
An inexpensive classic work appropriate attire with trendy twist
Know >when to splurge or bargain. When you go for a trend don’t spend a fortune. It’s always better going for a classic with a trendy twist then full-on trendy. Classic with a twist looks professional and can be styled up by accessorizing with pearls or with a scarf for style and dressed-down with a denim or leather jacket (see photos). Recall it is always better to be over- than underdressed.
I wore the attire to work this week in different ways. See these unique looks. Yes, I know, I shouldn’t wear the same piece one day after the other and not more than twice a week. However, I was so excited about creating new outfits. And anyway,Who said you can't wear a piece two days in a row in different outfits? #breakoldfashionrules Click To Tweet A trendy sheath dress is a perfect addition to your summer wardrobe. #styletip Click To Tweet

Top of the World OOTD Readers’ Fav
You clicked Penny’s post the most, which means she became Top of the World OOTD Readers’ Fav. Penny is the 71 years old fashion blogger at Frugal Fashion Shopper. She lives in Brighton, East Sussex and showed her great cruise wardrobe that she got for little money mainly because she buys from charity shops. It’s amazing that one can find such great pieces like her awesome cocktail dress in these stores. Try it out. You can’t only save money, get great outfits for a bargain, but also protect the environment by recycling. Don’t know how to shop in consignment stores? Check out the post at the link.
Top of the World OOTD My Fav
Nina the fashion and beauty blogger at Sharing a Journey caught my eye with her tweed Chanel jacket and the Chanel inspired toe cap shoes. She did such a great job resisting to go down the Coco lane. Instead she paired these classic French pieces with an old time American favorite – the blue jeans. These three classics make such a modern posh chic look! Nina became Top of the World OOTD My Fav. There is just something cool about blending items that seem not to go together like a western cut with eastern print or the so French tweed jacket with the so American “Is in every closet” jeans.
Top of the World Style Winner
Osy the beauty, style, and lifestyle blogger at Style Diary by Osy won the Top of the World Style Winner title. She looks awesome in this statement color. This month is her birthday. Thus, happy birthday.
