No Nonsense Has Great Leggings

When you follow this blog already for a while, you know that own quite some No nonsense leg wear. Thus, I immediately agreed to review a pair of leggings of my choice when I was asked to. Their printed summer leggings were really tempting. <3 They are perfect for the Dog Days weekends of August or a summer vacation. However, when I saw that they already have the first fall items, I picked a pair from their new fall collections.

Denim Leggings Are Comfortable and Chic at Any Age

As some of you know, I am a big fan of leggings to wear on weekends and for dance training. Some of you may also know that I am a big fan of No nonsense’s tights and leggings. Thus, when I was asked to review a pair of No nonsense leggings of my choice, I did not hesitate to accept. I picked a pair of denim leggings in black. They also come in red and other fashion colors depending on the size. What I like about this pair is that it has the comfort of leggings, but the chic of denim skinnies an Alaska classic. And, did I say that black has a slimming effect?

The leggings I reviewed are a size S and fit well around the legs and the hips. I am petite (5 ft 4″, 1.63 m), but the leggings are long enough to fit easily length wise a 2-3 inches (5-7.5 cm) taller woman than I am.

I like the real pockets and faux joke in the back and the faux fly and pocket details in the front. These details make these denim leggings a little bit more dressy than jeggings, i.e. leggings without these details. The details permit wearing the leggings with a shirt and a blazer for a coffee at the mall on a Saturday. They also look cute with an Irish cable-knit sweater or a flannel plaid shirt. And yes, you can wear leggings at any age.

Material of the Jeggings

These denim leggings have some stretch. They are made with cotton and spandex to hold their shape, while providing a comfortable fit. The non-binding, soft waistband holds them above the lower waist. The jeggings did not show any “knees” or the “bum” when I took them off after a day of wear.

How I Styled my Jeggings

For the outfit photos, I styled these classic black denim leggings with an asymmetric tunic, a statement belt and pumps for a comfy alternative on Casual Friday outfits. It was one of the few Fridays without meetings so I could get away with this little more casual look.

No nonsense Twill Leggings Can Go for Work

I chose a pair of twill leggings. What I like about them is that twill provides great insulation and looks posh. The seam that these leggings feature down the leg, ups their style. It makes them office appropriate in a casual work environment and for Casual Friday in a more conservative place with a blazer and shirt or a tunic as I styled the pair of my choice. This seam gives the leggings the look of cigar pants with a fold from far. The vertical line of the seam detail also has a slimming effect.

As you can see in the outfit inspirations, when styled right you can wear leggings at any age.

These Twill Leggings Are a Wardrobe Essential

These No nonsense twill leggings are made of 64% cotton, 31% polyester, and 5% spandex. The spandex serves to hold the form. After a day of sitting at work, the knee part of the leggings bounced back when I stood up. The leggings are very comfortable. I wear a size S and they are true to the size. The comfort and the ease to style them as well as their posh look make these twill leggings a fall wardrobe essential. They come in shadow olive, black, classic tan, and nappa. These neutral colors match well with work and weekend clothes. See these tips to look lovely in leggings that also point out which mistakes to avoid.

Great Price-Performance Ratio

The twill leggings cost $16.99. Given that they are so versatile to style and comfortable, one will wear them 2 to 4 times a month this cold season. Thus, at the end of the cold season (September thru March), this assumption lead to about 14 to 28 times. This means you can get easily below a dollar per wear, which is my criterion for a good cost-per-wear.

Thus, these twill leggings are a good deal. 🙂

The No nonsense classic leggings cost $16.99. Given that they are very versatile to style and perfect for the weekend, it is likely to get 2 to 4 wears per month this winter until end of April or so, depending on the lifestyle. This assumption leads to about 12 to 24 times. This means that it is easily to come in below a dollar per wear.

Verdict: These classic leggings are a good deal. 🙂
