Breast Cancer Facts

Medical statistics indicate that one in eight women will get breast cancer during her life. This means 12.5% of all women will have to fight the battle with breast cancer! My maternal grandma was one of them. It was breast cancer that gave her the name “Aua Oma” because she was always in pain. “Aua” is the German word for ouch, “Oma” means granny. At that time in the mid 1960s, breast cancer patients had no support whatsoever. On the contrary, they were invisible, in hide.

Even when breast cancer hasn’t hit “home front”, i.e. you or a family member, everyone knows several women who are breast cancer survivors. As long as we don’t have a mean that protects women from getting breast cancer, it is important to be aware of the risk, pay attention to screening, support breast cancer research, treatment and survivors. The latter three become especially important in times of low funding for research, treatment and general support.

Starting October 1st, all profits from the sale of her brand new Pink TaTa’s Necklace will go directly to benefit Seymour Pink, a national charitable organization started by Wendy Mignot’s high school teacher from her hometown, Seymour, CT. This means you can get easily involved in supporting breast cancer survivors by purchasing one of the TaTa necklaces.

Support breast cancer survivors by purchasing a Pink TaTa necklace.

At the same time, you show your support for breast cancer survivors and raise breast cancer awareness in a stylish way whenever you wear the necklace.

Support Can Be Stylish

The combination of leather and pearls has a little edge and hence is a classic with a very modern twist. The pearls have a great luster. The design makes the pink TaTa necklace very versatile, and the necklace works with all kinds of style. It dresses up a pair of jeans and a T-shirt from casual to posh for the weekend. It is a great addition to a Bohemian Style dress and works as a statement necklace at the office with a sheath dress or over a sweater. The short version is perfect with a blouse when keeping the upper two buttons open. The longest version of the necklace is a perfect styling touch with a sweater dress or with leggings and a long sweater for the weekend.

Other Ways to Support Wendy’s Campaign

The ageless design makes the necklace also a great gift for your bff, daughter(s) or teenage grand daughters. The Wendy Mignot necklace comes in a nice gift box and with certificate of authenticity. Since this handmade beauty is a limited edition, the value may increase with time.
