Trick to wear a short jacket over a blazer

Black turtleneck plus jeans and blazer equal instant style

Today I keep it short with just an update on my outfit and a little styling trick. I like to refer to the look as my American West casual style. The outfit is great for Casual Friday. The cashmere sweater instead of a T-shirt makes this casual look stylish at any age.

Outerwear is an outfit too

For my commute to work, I swapped the leopard print pumps for my heeled ducks, rolled down the boyfriend jeans. Why? It just looked better that way.

I added my Andrew Marc shearling motorcycle jacket as a finishing touch. Since this jacket is shorter than the blazer I folded the blazer underneath so it would not show. The jacket’s belt allows for this little styling trick when tied tightly. I added blue gloves and a blue beret and re-introduced the leopard print with the bag in which I carried the shoes to work.
