What’s in The Pearl Source, Inc. Collection?

Their collection encompasses pearl necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, and pendants from Tahitian South Sea black pearls, golden Australian South Sea pearls, white South Sea pearls, Japanese Akoya pearls, and freshwater pearls. They offer pearl necklaces in the classic choker 16 inch (40.6 cm) length, 17 inch, 18 inch, 20 inch, 24 inch, 36 inch and the 51 inch (43.2, 45.7, 50.8, 61, 91.4, 129.5 cm) opera length. Pearl size can be chosen from 3 mm to 9.5 mm, but pearls with 7 mm to 8 mm diameter are most popular for necklaces. The Pearl Source, Inc. also offers the rare, valuable high quality pearls exceeding 8 mm in size.

Given their great choices one feels like in pearl paradise. Black large pearl studs are on my wish list since a long time, as was a saltwater Akoya pearl necklace. Here “was” means I picked an Akoya pearl necklace. It came in the nice double box.

What I Love about the Akoya Pearl Necklace

The Akoya pearl is the Icon of cultured pearls. More on the origin of natural and cultured pearls.

I am in love with Akoya pearls since I was a teenager. In my grandma’s magazines, I saw the Akoya ads as well as photos of European movie stars, Princesses, Ladies, Duchesses, etc. wearing them on their necks, wrists, and ears. Because saltwater pearls look so iridescent and feminine I wished my Mom had one too.

The Akoya Necklace Has a Beautiful Luster and Is Hand-Knotted

The Akoya necklace has wonderful icy pearls and looks much more expensive than the price tag says.

Akoya Pearls Are Saltwater Pearls

Akoya pearls are saltwater pearls produced by the Pinctada fucata oyster. The oyster puts layer after layer of mother of pearl around the pearl. This procedure leads to the nice luster when the light breaks in these layers. The more layers, the nicer the breaking of the light and luster become. The photos barely give credit to the great luster, quality, and gorgeous icy white color of the Akoya necklace.

The fact that The Pearl Source uses only the top 10% or higher quality of a pearl harvest for their pearl jewelry and pearl necklaces really shows. Don’t you think so?

Why Is The Pearl Source So Cheap?

The Pearl Source, Inc. can offer their pearl necklace at these low prices as they are the biggest importer in the US. Furthermore, they are the supplier to many jewelry stores. Consequently, you do not pay extra costs that come with any additional trade occurring between the importer and customer.

So why pay more when you can buy directly from the importer? More on cutting out the middlemen.

Price-Performance Ratio

Pearls are a long-term investment into your wardrobe accessories. You will wear them your life long. They are perfect for work and many special occasions. It is a no-brainer to buy the highest quality you can afford.

Despite the excellent quality, The Pearl Source pearls are very affordable. I would definitively recommend them to my best female friend when she were looking for a pearl necklace.

Styling Outfits with a Pearl Necklace

Pearls are the tie of a woman in corporate style. Wearing pearls in a classic way to the office, as bride jewelry or when dressing for the opera is a no-brainer.
