Consignment score: AK pumps

Remember that the last time I browsed a consignment store, I had scored two pairs of shoes: The Etienne Aigner wedge sandals and these open toe Anne Klein pumps. I had shown you already the sandals, which brand recalled childhood memories. Today’s outfit post presents the Anne Klein pumps. I like open toe pumps, and the heels of these have a comfortable height. The heel style is classic, this means the pumps are not yesteryear. These shoes also fit perfect and the print on their fabric is very neutral. Thus, they are perfect for work when the dress code allows open-toe.

Label abbreviation prints – yay or nay?

I am not a big fan of label abbreviations prints all over a wardrobe item. However, in the case of these shoes, the label abbreviation made me excited and was the final kick to buy them. Anne Klein abbreviated as AK has the same abbreviation as Alaska. Thus, they called my name, and I call these pumps the state pumps 😉 .

Styling inspiration for label prints

I paired these pumps with my striped sheath that has some patterned stripes. These patterned stripes picks up the colors of the pumps, or the other way round? Who cares. I accessorized with a souvenir three string necklace that picks up the color of some of the thin stripes of the dress. I finished the look with my taupe Jaeger tote – another consignment score on that shopping day. A simple, but polished – nearly instant – summer work outfit for a busy morning.

Do you wear dresses to work in summer? Do you wear open toe pumps to work? How do you style printed pumps? Let me know by email, I am curious.
