Bomber jackets are classic basics
My love for bomber jacket goes back to when I was a teenager. There was a sailing plane field about 16 miles (26 km) away from my parents’ house. I liked to bike out there to watch the sailing planes starting and landing. Many of the pilots wore shark gray leather bomber jackets with a pen pocket on one of the sleeves and orange satin lining. I thought that the women looked so cool in these jackets. Especially, when they were wearing it over a white T-shirt with dark jeans and white sneakers.Bomber jackets are a classic basic that can be paired with a lot pieces in your closet including dresses. Thus, when Shein asked me to feature one of their items this olive green bomber jacket directly caught my attention. It has a pocket on the left sleeve and pockets for the hands in the front. The Shein bomber jacket closes with a zipper that zips well. The zipper on the arm pocket also works well. I was positively surprised that the jacket is fully lined. The bomber has a knit stand collar and the sleeves have knit wristbands. The shiny fabric is full on trend this fall/winter season. The jacket’s fabric is 100% polyester.
An olive aviator jacket is versatile
The neutral olive color provides many styling options. In this post, I styled a floral summer dress for fall by adding an extra layer with the bomber jacket. The color of the jacket picks up the greens of the dress. Next time, I will try to combine the bomber with my BF jeans and a pink sweater. I also like to combine olive with red. Of course, the white T-shirt with dark jeans and the olive bomber jacket are on my outfit idea list. The tightly woven fabric makes the jacket a great wind breaker too.
Size, fit and color
I got the jacket in size S as the size reference suggested this size according to my measures. I am glad I checked the chart as the bomber jacket fits well. Thus, I highly recommend checking the size chart and ordering accordingly. The bomber jacket comes in four different colors, olive like in the outfit photos shown in this post, black, (very light) pink, and (dark) green. When ordering online, always check the size chart for best fit. #agelessstyle Click To Tweet
I don’t know why, but the different color versions have different pricing. At the moment, they are all on sale. The olive, black, green and pink version cost $26.99, $25.99, $24.25, and $25.99, respectively. The bomber jacket is great to update a solid wardrobe of basics with a trendy item in a classic cut. I expect to wear the jacket at least every two weeks this fall/winter season and as a cover-up during the winter to spring transition. Under these assumptions, I would wear the Shein bomber jacket about 16 to 20 times until end of May. Since the jacket also makes a great wind breaker, I imagine to get also some wear out of it on windy summer days. Thus, the cost per wear would be somewhere between $1.35 and $1.70. This price is acceptable for a trendy wardrobe addition, especially, as the craftsmanship of the bomber is very good.
In a nutshell
If I had paid for the item, I wouldn’t have regretted buying it to update my wardrobe with a trend.
