I hope you had a relaxing break and a great start into the New Year. December was very hectic for everyone. Shopping for gifts for family and friends without breaking the bank, decorating the home, planning one or two parties, etc. In the latter, it doesn’t matter whether you are the hostess and have to come up with the menu, food and drink shopping, sending the invitations for the family reunion and cooking the dishes, or whether you have to get a last minute ticket, re-book a flight, pack, book a hotel as the home of the hostess is too small for all the family, you are allergic to (hate) their dogs and/or just want to relax after a day of celebration and family updates. Add to the stress in full malls, travel and all the holiday parties that had to be attended the stress of what to wear when and why. How to dress for Success in Midlife can be a helpful shortcut to avoid the stress of dressing to your best.

Ageless Style series
I continued my weekly Wednesday Ageless Style Series. The new issues were how to wear the shine trend, how not to look old in a suit over 40, and last minute New Year’s Eve outfit inspirations. You can find previous posts of the Ageless Style Series in the archive.
Fashion linkup parties
Many thanks to all of you who found time to linkup to the Top of the World Style party this month. The party starts every Thursday at 12am AST (4am EST). I pin a photo of your linked-up post to the party’s Pinterest board. When you want to contribute to the board and pin more photos from your post follow me on pinterest (pinterest requirement to add you to the board). Then send me an email and I will send you an invitation. All you then have to do is to accept and start pinning. Not on pinterest? You can also pin your outfits to the Top of the World Style Community on google+. All you have to do is join the community and start posting.
Given that December is the peak of the holiday season, the Ageless Style Linkup featured holiday looks. This party starts always on the first Tuesday of a month. It is not too late to January’s Ageless Style Linkup party.
Did you know that you don’t need a blog to participate in a linkup party and/or a google+ community? You can linkup your Instagram posts. Try it out to increase your audience, inspire, get inspired and make new friends.
Which outfit was your favorite in December? Which post did you like the most? What do you want me to write more/less about? What are your fashion challenges? Please let me know by email so that the blog gets even better and more interesting this year than last year. 🙂
