Rock’n Roll trend over 40
I love Rock’n Roll music and some elements of that dress style like everything motorcycle, or studded. Plaid is often also considered to belong to this category. However, I always loved anything plaid in its traditional or neutral colors like this sleek sheath dress. This dress seems to be my favorite this winter. I styled the plaid sheath with a green sweater as an outfit for St. Patrick’s Day, with a denim jacket, and even with a leather shell (see the posts at the links for these looks). I like to wear sheath dresses with a denim or motorcycle jacket. Sometimes a motorcycle jacket and sheath are just enough to not be under- or over-dressed.
OOTD: Sheath with leather jacket
Today I wore my sheath dress over a long sleeve T-shirt under my white motorcycle leather jacket. I went for an all black and white theme for the office by adding a white leopard scarf that I “weave” knotted. I placed three vintage brooches for extra interest onto the knot. Yes, you identified this right. I again mixed metals for an effortless vibe and street style inspired look. Learn more about how to have street style in the post at the link.
Styled A-line faux fur coat
My outer outfit consisted of my faux fur coat with a wool scarf that has a floral silk top on one side for an elegant look. I added my black beret to keep my head warm. To add another pop of color to this outer outfit I took my Celine bag along. The fresh snow asked for knee-high boots as booties just would collect the 10 inch (25 cm) high snow in them. Nobody is a fan of cold and wet feet. However, the indoor outfit would also look great with booties or black pumps for extra long legs.
