Modern classics with a twist that hide flaws
My wardrobe consists of high quality classic basics, i.e. the investment pieces and trendy fast fashion pieces that serve to give my outfits a trendy vibe. What I am looking for in a high quality investment piece is a nice super soft material, a great fit and cut. When the cut has some unexpected twist like a wrapping or draping, it’s even better. It is no secret that I like to look for such pieces at Covered Perfectly. They have, among other things, various styles of tops that hide all kinds of body flaws and there is a piece for every body shape. <3
Covered Perfectly work in more than one season
The Sylvia draped front top shown in the outfit photos is a sample from Covered Perfectly. I love that it works for three seasons – in summer just so, and in fall and spring with a blazer or jacket as a layering piece. This modal top is so flattering, luxurious, super soft, and comfortable. Who doesn’t like that?
Classics with a purposeful twist
The nice playful cut stands out of the crowd of plain solid color tops due to the draping on the chest. The draping adds interest and draws the attention to the breast. The draping draws the eyes away from the neck or a double chin. Another advantage of the draping is that the top doesn’t need a summer scarf to look stylish. Who needs that extra layer in summer?
A beautiful layering piece without adding bulk
I wore a camisole under the top because I don’t like showing too much cleavage. The draping will be higher up for a fuller breast than mine. Then the cleavage will be less than in my case (bra size 34AA). However, you still can wear a statement necklace or camisole underneath.
Flattering fashion over 40
I love the 3/4 long sleeves as I like to wear an arm party for style. Here I pushed the sleeves up to end above the elbow. The sleeves also hide not so tuned upper arms (mine). The dark color has a slimming effect. The top is also available in burgundy, another dark color. The draping covers any lumps and bumps.
Affordable price for a high quality investment piece
This basic investment piece is made in America. Like all other pieces by Covered Perfectly this Sylvia draped front top doesn’t break the bank. It costs only $49.95, which isn’t expensive at all for an investment piece that one can wear in several seasons. There is also a “Buy 2 and get the 3rd free – any combination.” This offer makes the Covered Perfectly tops even more attractive.
The Sylvia draped front top is a great wardrobe addition
Due to its neutral color (black or burgundy) it works for the office as well as for the weekend. Since the fabric doesn’t wrinkle it is also perfect for business and vacation travel. The top looks as great with a pair of jeans or pants as it does with a skirt or as a layering piece. In my opinion, it is a winner for ever wardrobe and a stylish must-have for every women over 40.
What about you? Have you already some of the great flattering pieces from Covered Perfectly in your closet? Have you had a look at their new pieces lately?

Top of the World OOTDs
The Top of the World Style Winner is picked by a random generator from the party two weeks ago. The reasons are as follow: Each party runs a week minus 5 minutes. At the time of scheduling a new party, the old party is still in full swing and blogger still can join. To give all guests the same chance, the old party has to have closed before drawing the winner. In plain English, the Top of the World Style Winner visited the linkup party two weeks ago.
The winner of this week’s feature is Laura, the blogger at I Do DeClaire who submitted her winning post at the 109th linkup party. She really knows how to pull off a nice Casual Friday work outfit that is not just jeans and a chic T-shirt.
The post by Lisa at Daily Style Finds became Top of the World OOTD Readers’ Fav as you clicked her post the most. She took her outfit inspiration from Pinterest. Who wore it better? 🙂
Nina, the blogger at Sharing a Journey, became Top of the World OOTD My Fav. Doesn’t she look like a model in a catalog or magazine in this outfit photo? She really rocks this high-low hem striped dress with hat and basket bag. What a stunning vacation outfit! <3
