Dress with the diurnal course of temperature in mind
It it getting cooler now in the mornings. Temperatures are just in the lower 60s (15-17oC). Around noon, temperatures are wonderful in the mid 70s (~23oC), which is great to have lunch outside. To be appropriately dressed for the cool mornings and the warm lunch hour outside and work, I am wearing a striped sheath dress with a blush quilted leather jacket. At work, the leather jacket protects me from the AC that seems still to be set for high summer temperatures. For the lunch break, I leave the jacket in the office and enjoy the last days of summer.

Pretty dew means high humidity
Besides the cool morning temperatures, the morning fog that can be seen in the photo, is another sign of the approaching fall. The fog is caused when the air cools during the night and the air temperature reached the dew point temperature. Then fog builds in the air. If the humidity is also around 100% close to the ground, dew can build on the lawns.

Alaska’s fall sets on in mid August
There are also already some leaves turning yellow or red. I think in three weeks if not earlier I will have to start posting fall outfits. Well giving some ideas before you meet fall. 😉 So to speak this business casual summer outfit is sort of the first in a series of summer to fall transition inspirations. Thus, keep tuned for more work outfit ideas for autumn.

What I love about sheaths
This type of dress works all by itself, is easy to style with a jacket of any type – which of course – changes the vibe. Furthermore, a sheath can be worn multiple ways. So you can wear it now – wear it later. A sheath also gives a straight-up-and-down body some curves. Need that. 😉
