The western trend is one of the trickiest trends this fall, but also one of the most interesting. When you want to adopt this trend – who does not love western items – make sure to keep the rest of your outfit strays around your usual style. In other word, only add one western item at a time to your outfit either as accessory or as the statement piece. Wearing several western item at once gets you into the territory of looking like applying for a supporting role in the next Hollywood western movie. 😉

The photo above dons a casual neutral color outfit with some spots of color in the shoes and bag. The inlay western belt picks up some of these colors. The viewer has to look twice to realize that this casual Friday look even has a western piece in it (see zoom-in below). However, it is the western piece that makes this classic casual outfit fashion forward and on trend.

When adding a piece to keep warm in the chilly morning hours stay with the color shades of the outfit like shown in the next photo. The light gray cardigan remains in the theme of white to black shades.

The photo below shows another example of how to wear this western belt. Here again I kept the outfit in neutral colors. I picked up the colors of the belt’s inlays with the floral print pumps. Despite in this case, the dress is a denim shirt dress, its shirt dress cut keeps the dress out of cowgirl style.
