Mixed prints can make or break a look
When I look thru my outfit photos, I see rarely a look where I just wear on printed or patterned piece. It seems that when I wear a printed or patterned item I can’t resist to stop at just one item. In today’s OOTD, I even have three prints: stripes, polka dots and flowers.
When mixing prints, patterns, or prints and patterns, one has to ground them. Black would be a no-brainer, safe bet for the skirt. However, I used red as the grounding color for this look. It permits to add the white of the stripes and dots that is not a common color in the skirt.

Pro tip: A leopard print is sort of a neutral and hence easy to combine with prints.

Top of the World OOTDs
The Top of the World Style Winner is picked by a random generator from the party two weeks ago. The reasons are as follow: Each party runs a week minus 5 minutes. At the time of scheduling a new party, the old party is still in full swing and blogger still can join. To give all guests the same chance, the old party has to have closed before drawing the winner. In plain English, the Top of the World Style Winner visited the linkup party two weeks ago.
The winner of this week’s feature is Jennie, the blogger at A Pocketful of Polka Dots who submitted her winning post at the 110th linkup party. Her unmatched suit work outfit is promotion-worthy.
The post by Alexandra at Funky Jungle became Top of the World OOTD Readers’ Fav as you clicked her post the most. Her sightseeing look is incredibly chic and comfy at the same time. I love how she creates an edge and one can’t put the finger on it. I am a big fan of her style.
The look of Edwige, the blogger at Hypnoz Glam was my favorite. When putting an outfit together balance is key. One shouldn’t be worn by the clothes. She always get it right! This outfit is stunning and let’s her shine. All one sees is a pretty women and on second sight also pretty clothes. That’s how it should be. Isn’t it?
