Styling a little red dress from summer for winter
I wore a little red dress from summer with a layering top and a long leather coat. Typically temperatures are above 0F (-18oC) when there is snowfall in the Interior. These snow days are the warm days of winter. It does not snow when temperatures are 40 below. There may some blue sky precipitation on those 40 below days. We talk about blue sky precipitation when the sky is blue, i.e. no cloud is in sight, but there are tiny ice crystals in the air that settle very slowly. This phenomenon is not yet well understood.
Since it was relatively warm, I could get away with wearing summer clothes by wearing a layering top underneath. It not only gives the right amount of insulation, but also adds style.Use layering to get a head start on wearing summer clothes. Addional benefit: Layering ups your style. #styletip Click To Tweet
To stay warm on the commute to work I wore my leather coat that has a quilted lining. The leather keeps the wind off and the faux fur trim blocks the wind from entering the sleeves. The leather faux fur contrast also looks very stylish. <3
Styling a little red dress for fall
The photos below provide another cute little red dress outfit idea.
Do you wear summer clothes on warm winter days? How do you winterize them to stay warm? How do you style them to not look out of season? I am curious, send me an email with your ideas.
Top of the World Style linkup-party
Welcome to the 42nd Top of the World Style fashion linkup party. Thanks to those of you who linked up last week. You are all so stylish! I can’t wait to see what you are wearing this week.
As usual, the Readers’ Fav OOTD goes to the link you clicked the most, which was Jordan’s post. She is the blogger of Lil Miss JB Style. Who does not dream of a Tropical vacation in the middle winter? If one can’t go one at least can dream about packing for it. Nancy from Nancy’s Fashion Style caught my eyes with her leather dress. Her black leather dress gives a nice twist to the classic LBD look. She became My Fav OOTD.
Congrats ladies, please grab your respective featured Top of the World OOTD button.
