Dyed cardigan
I dyed the cardigan that is shown in this post. It was the winter white cardigan in the photo below. I had bought the cardigan a while ago, but caught myself barely wearing it. The reason was, I love dark and bold colors. I often give pieces in my closet an “upcycle” when I recognize that I did not wear them for a while. When you like the cut, the material or both, and it’s just the color that’s not so you anymore, you may consider to rescue your old wardrobe favorites by dying.

I sometimes even buy an (easy to dye) item in white when they don’t have the piece in a color I like. The most important things when dyeing clothes is to know which fabric you can dye, which one you have to dye with acid or salt, and how the colors combine when you dye a piece that is not white. If you are interested in more details on this subject, please let me know (email is fine) and I will devote a post to it.

Do you modify your clothes? If so what do you do? Do you dye them, shorten the hems, altering the buttons? Let me know by email and/or link up examples in addition to your OOTD.
