Pantome’s seasonal color forecast
Each season, Pantome forecasts the colors of the next season. This time, their color forecast is Red Pear, Valiant Poppy, Ceylon Yellow, Martini Olive, Russet Orange, Ultra Violet, Crocus Petal, Limelight, Quetzal Green, Nebulas Blue as the fashion statement colors. The It neutrals are Sargasso Sea, Tofu, Almond Buff, Quiet Gray, and Meerkat. You never heard these names? You aren’t alone. Do you have to throw out your entire wardrobe? No way!
Don’t panic just yet
Looking at last seasons fall/winter colors and those forecasted for this cold season one get’s the impression fashion is slowing down. Last year’s It colors look the same on first view, but actually they aren’t.
Last year, in New York, it was hip to wear Grenadine, Tawny Port, Ballet Slipper, Butterum, Navy Peony, Neutral Gray, Shaded Spruce, Golden Lime, Marina, and Autumn Maple. Well, in my opinion,
You can't go wrong wearing black in New York. #itcolors Click To Tweet
London had some other colors, namely Flame Scarlet, Toast, Primrose Pink, Bluebell, Royal Lilac, Otter, Navy Peony, Golden Olive, Lemon Curry, Copper Tan. Nevertheless, when you looked at magazines and style blogs, you couldn’t see much a difference. Indeed, the biggest differences where the outfit backgrounds.
In other words: Who can distinguish them without a fabric swatch? And who runs around with a fabric swatch of Pantome colors? Typically, women, if they carry around a fabric swatch at all, it’s related to their flattering colors. Have you ever had a color analysis?
Wear your flattering colors
Look your best with your own colors. When you had your colors determined recently – today 12 seasons are distinguished – then you know your best suiting colors. Go for them. Combine them in a way that it looks like you are wearing the seasons It colors.
Of course your seasonal or tonal colors work easy with each other as do the Pantone colors. You can never go wrong with wearing analogous colors, but they may be a bit tricky with your seasonal or tonal best.
Your solution to look up-to-date
Riot your closet for shades and hues that come close to those that were forecasted to be the seasons It. In the outfit in the photo above, I went with colors that are in the “ballpark” of Pear Red (shoes, belt buckle), Valiant Poppy (top, shoes), Ceylon Yellow (print on neckerchief), Martini Olive (jacket, skirt), and Nebulas Blue (enamel on belt buckle).

In the look above, I stayed with colors close to Valiant Poppy (jacket), Ultra Violet (jacket print, pumps), Quetzal Green (dress), orange russet (bag) and Sargasso Sea (jacket).

The outfit above stays close to Red Pear (skirt), Russet Orange (wood sole), Quetzal Green (one of the stripes colors) and Tofu paired with classic black.

In the outfit in the photo above, I went with colors that are in the “ballpark” of Red Pear (scarf rose print), Valiant Poppy (shoes), Ceylon Yellow (scarf bow print), Martini Olive (leaves in scarf print), Quetzal Green (leaves in print), Tofu (accents in scarf print), and Quiet Gray (scarf accents, bag).

Today’s featured awardees are Carrie, Amy and Darlene.

Your favorite post was Carrie’s post. She is the DIY craft blogger at Curly Crafty Mom. Her long vest over shirt and jeans outfit is super posh, but casual. Very interesting and special look.

I love Darlene’s super chic shirts she presented from her Stich-Fix-Box. She is the travel and style blogger at Aquamarina Style. All her looks were chic, but this one I liked the most. I so would wear this look. Perfect for the weekend, don’t you think so?

Amy, the fashion blogger at Amy’s Creative Pursuits won the Top of the World Style Winner feature. Aren’t the pompoms at the hem of her jeans interesting? Love how easy she pulls this difficult trend off!
