A style blog I follow

I really love the blog of my good friend Jodie, of Jodie’s Touch of Style. What’s special about her blog is that she features the same outfit idea, let’s say for isntance, a red cardigan, for three generations. She used to blog with her mom Charlotte, now in her 80s, her stepmon Nancy, now in her 70s, and she is a 50 soemethings. Despite I am often in Denver, it never worked out that we met. 🙁 Recently, Jodie moved down south to Arizona with her mom and husband and her two cute cats. I love cats, you know. Now she continues her blog with her girlfriend as a 60s model, her mom as the 80s model and herself as the 50s model. I don’t know of any other blog that covers this age diversity and gives women a perspective for years to come. Once a months or so more or less, she partners up with bloggers who are in their teens, twenties, thirties, forties and 70s for one theme.

She and her team have quite a different style than I have. But nevertheless, they keep me coming back for every post. It’s so fascinating how you can wear the same thing, for instance, a leopard print, at any age.

My outfit of the day

Temperatures are still way below -30F (-34.4oC). Thus, layering is key. I am wearing a long sleeve Tee underneath my Irish wool cable knit sweater. I also wear my mesh dress underneath the Irish sweater. The skinny jean cover a pair of silk long-Johns. Double socks, of course!

The mesh dress is just for style and fun. Can you believe that a colleague said “Do you wear a see-thru skirt? I was like “No, a mesh dress over jeans.”

  4. I admire your boldness in trying new things with clothes! I’m not as bold as you but I do like to have fun with fashion and try a bit of a different look from time to time. You look gorgeous in this outfit and I especially love those boots!

  6. My Style Journey

I don’t think I could ever be this bold, but I absolutely applaud you! The older I’ve become, the more understated my clothes have become, but for me, I haven’t felt I’m fading into the background. It feels for me, that I’ve finally settled into my style and it’s rather a classic one. So freeing as we age and just know what we’re comfortable in – or not! Keep rocking your bold looks. They suit you xo
