The exciting parts of this time a year are the fashion weeks. Every fashionista is excited (or not so excited) to see next year’s spring/summer trends, while stocking up on the fall/winter trends. In spring, the trends I was excited about for the fall/winter season were tartan, leather and animal prints as well as the classic black and white. Thus, I updated my wardrobe with these trends. This week, among other things, I will present some of my fall/winter trend updates and how I combine them with the items I already owned. It is interesting that just adding a new item to the wardrobe provides several outfits and makes you look at your wardrobe in a different way.
I start out with two trends at the same time. I am wearing a boxy burnt red leather coat over a tartan sheath dress. I paired them with simple classic black pumps for a sophisticated office appropriate look. As temperatures are already in the lower 40s (4C) in the morning I wear a long-sleeve T-shirt underneath the sheath dress and sheer off-black tights. In the afternoon, temperatures are still in the mid 50s (10C), but that is already to cold to go without any leg-ware. To add interest I put on a vintage big brooch.
