The Tanana Valley in the back is showing its fall colors. On a sunny day, the forest green of the black and white spruce trees sets nicely off to the golden leaves of the birch, aspen and cottonwood trees. Event though, I am not particularly font of fall as a season – fortunately is is just about 2-3 weeks in the Interior – I love fall colors.
The colors of fall inspired this outfit of a tan leather skirt (Halogen) and bag (Kate Moss for Longchamp), burgundy short-sleeve cashmere sweater (Classiques Entiere) and ankle strap pumps (Steve for Steve Madden) combined with a bottle green corduroy blazer (GAP). The sunnies are Ray Ban.
When I saw this GAP blazer I had to have it because I loved the color. The love for bottle green goes back to my childhood. When I was about 2 years old my mom had knitted a bottle green dress with a mohair white shoulder part and orange embroidery. My parents said that I loved this dress and always picked it when I was allowed to choose what to wear on Sundays. Thus, it became my Sunday uniform – sort of. I must have paired it with white tights and white Mary Janes.
