Going Formal for New Year’s Eve?

New Year’s Eve is just right around the corner! Any plans yet? When Australia BeFormal asked me to have a look at their collections I couldn’t resist. I love gowns. <3 They have a huge collection of formal dresses, special occasion dresses, wedding dresses, wedding party dresses, and accessories. Their dresses start with US size 2 and are available up to a US size 26W. Custom sizing is also possible. Furthermore, depending on the dress they offer over 20 different colors! Currently, long formal dresses at Australia BeFormal are between 5% and 80% off and quite affordable. Thus, what to wear New Year’s Eve is now just a question of what your plans are.

They have hundreds of awesome dresses that my younger me would have loved to wear. Well, let’s live in the today and leave them for our daughters and our nieces. The picks in this post are my favorite fashion over 40 choices.

When in doubt, wear a LBD

A BeFormal LBD is always a good idea and worth an investment especially when it is a classic cut like a sheath. A sheath works for so many occasions. Add long chandeliers and strappy silver heels and you have an outfit to wear at a New Year’s Eve party.

A little black dress is so versatile and worth an investment. Just add pearl studs and a gold brooch with golden open-toe pumps and a patent leather clutch and it works for a mother-of-the-bride/groom dress. Add red pumps and a red stole with ruby studs and you can wear it at the work holiday party. Dress it down with Keds and a jeans jacket for First Friday.

Take a style inspirations from Kate Middleton

I always liked the Duchess of Cambridge in her royal blue lace dress with white lining. So chic! BeFormal has one in a similar style, but with a price tag for a woman with a normal income. The little cropped jacket is a perfect cover-up when watching the New Year’s Eve fireworks. sultry sweetheart cleavage long sleeve formal evening gown

Sultry with high-low hem and long sleeves

Heading to the Opera or Broadway? What about this lace asymmetric hem beauty? I love the high-low hem. So Argentine Tango! So sexy! Especially paired with a high neckline and long sleeves. It leaves room for imagination. It is just the perfect combination between sultry and modest! Perfect for every woman with style.

BeFormal mermaid dress

Mermaid cuts for the feminine romantic woman

When I was a kid, I never understood the mermaid. May be I am just too logical. However, what I understood was that my romantic girlfriends were angry at the Prince. If you are a hard-die romantic you will love this mermaid dress. As a matter of fact, I love the nude color with the embellishment. In a dimmed-down room, this dress will make an entrance. On first sight, the wearer and the dress are just one, like a mermaid. 😉

European style gowns

At last, my absolute favorite, the first gown in this post. It is the ballroom dancer in me who loves the BeFormal ballroom gowns. I would love to dance the Emperor Waltz played by the Viennese Philharmonic in one of their beautiful ballroom dresses with my husband on New Year’s Eve <3 . How fun would that be? 🙂

I hope you liked my picks. Tell me what your favorites are. I am curious. What will you wear New Year’s? Did you already pick your dress? Send me an email with a photo of your dress.
