A new setting can scare the heck out of you

Changing date and time settings

Do you remember the song  ” … in the year 5555 when …?” Well, yesterday I had the feeling my wordpress account was in the year 2058. All my posts had 2058 at the end. But they had posted at the right time. This “year” made me a little nervous and I started searching the support forum for “wrong date.” While looking through the posts the song started running through my head.

I looked at my watch and realized that it shortly after 9 pm. Then I remembered that I had changed the setting for the time to “customs” in the intend to have the time in my job related format, i.e. what is often called military time. However, meteorologist use it too. Thus, I went back to the settings. It turned out that my mistake was to set the time to the time it was instead of hhmm. What a relieve! You probably would not enjoy to read my 2014 style posts in nearly 40 years from now. 😉

How I wear summer items in the winter to spring transition

Now to the reason why you are here: The OOTD! I again wear a cotton cardigan as a blouse. Even for an Alaskan, spring is chilly at 50F (10oC) when the  relative humidity is close to 100%. I paired my floral print cotton cardigan with my polka dot pleat skirt. Pleats are a trend at the moment. You saw the floral cotton cardigan and polka dot pleat skirt in the posts at the links before.

Add a half slip for comfort

To not get cold I wore a half slip underneath plus a pair of bicycle pants. For the commute to work I added a stripped matching cardigan on top of the tucked-in floral cardigan. To keep the mixed pattern look sophisticated and work appropriate I wore my white patent leather pumps, and shark gray Pippa bag.

What is your trick to wear spring clothes when it is still a little too chilly for them? Let me know by email, I am curious

P.S. Like one of these looks? Then please pin them to your own Pinterest board so your friends, and family can see them too.
