Musse & Cloud and coolway – two brands, one great company
Last summer, I introduced you to Musse & Cloud, a boutique brand for sophisticated customers who know the fashion trends. Musse & Cloud belongs to the same great company than coolway to whom I introduced you last week.
The collection speaks to women of all age
The Musse & Cloud fall/winter collection encompasses high quality, rich leather shoes and booties in usually muted colors. The designs have a trendy twist, but are not over the top. Thus, they work well for us women over 40. Many of them are Bohemian or Rock’n Roll inspired, i.e. what I call classics with a twist. The collection encompasses footwear with low to high sturdy heels that all look very feminine. The high quality permits wearing the footwear for work and play. Their products retail between $89 to $189.
Picking just one pair from the Musse & Cloud fall/winter collection requires discipline. The Miracle, for instance, come in black with featuring imprinted leather, plain leather, and suede or in all suede but featuring four different colors (black, orange, greeny, tan). Despite they are cut the same their vibe is so different that you can have them both in the closet without getting bored.
The Millie booties
I chose the Millie in black suede for review. They also come in tan. In the light color, they have a more Bohemian vibe and the tan makes them even suitable for summer outfits. The black Millie have more a Rock’n Roll vibe, and thus, they are so me. I Like the back zippers which are easy to close and open. The large hardware in the back is underlain by suede. In other words, these eyelets are not openings, but decoration or just an illusion of openings when you wear the booties with black tights as I did in the styling inspirations.
The suede leather is super soft and thick. The sturdy heel is not only trendy, but also makes standing and walking easy when you are used to heels like I am. The soles of the booties are thick, which means they provide some insulation from the ground. Thus, having to walk a couple of blogs or waiting outside for transportation for a couple of minutes will not lead to cold feet in mid-latitude winter climate. The sole has great traction on cleared sidewalks, typical office carpets and tiles as well as wet and dry sidewalks.
These Musse & Cloud booties are a European size 38, i.e. a US size 8. They have a great fit. I wore them with flannel lined tights and had no problem zipping them. The toe box is wide enough to not squeeze the feet even with tights or wool socks. ❤
The Millie Musse & Cloud booties are easy to style
The Millie Musse & Cloud booties are very versatile and can be styled for work and play. In other words, they are easy to style and go with a lot of things in my closet. In this post, I show how to style them for work and going out. Besides these two outfit inspirations, there are many more to come. Thus, stay tuned. I am sure you can come up with various outfits with them too. 🙂
These suede Millie Musse & Cloud booties cost $119.95. They are very versatile to style for the office, going out and the weekend, i.e. a Go-to for the entire winter. I expect to wear them at least for two fall/winter seasons three to four times a week. This would mean 100 to 150 times assuming a length of 6 month per season. Even in a warm climate region with only 4 months of fall/winter weather, you can still wear them enough to get below a dollar for the price-per-wear. Thus, these Millie booties are a great deal for a fashion-forward, high quality, well made pair of leather winter shoes. In other words,
I definitively would buy them for my money. ❤
Do you already own a pair of Musse & Cloud? Have you had already a look at their fall/winter 2016 collection? Which pair is your favorite? Let me know, I am curious.
