The Jojoba Company sent me a sample of their jojoba intense overnight renewal cream for review. They not only use unique plant products for their skin care series, but also grow and harvest their own jojoba on their farms in New South Wales, Australia. The jojoba plant is a desert scrub. Thus, it protects the soils from erosion by wind.
Jojoba is a natural hydrating antioxidant with lots of vitamins A, D, and E. Its wax esters are a key element of young and healthy skin. Since jojoba esters are close to human esters, the skin absorbs them deeply. Thus, the jojoba intense overnight renewal cream hydrates the skin and plums it up for a fresh, rested look.
The cream is 100% natural. Further antioxidants that are included in the jojoba intense overnight renewal cream are argan oil, crown gold, and green tea extract. Vitamin B5 serves to hydrate and soften the skin, while hyaluronic acid plump the skin up. Together with the crown gold these ingredients reduce the appearance of fine lines and fine wrinkles. Other ingredients are beta glucan that stimulates collagen and elastin production, and various anti-inflammatory like crown gold, green tea and marshmallow extracts.
I have mixed skin and the jojoba intense overnight renewal cream works well on both the oily and dry areas. I used the cream nightly after cleansing for the last 12 days except for every third night of the test series. On every third night, I went to bed without any night cream on purpose. On the days of applying the cream, I distributed a small amount of the size of a round bubble gum on my face, neck and decollete prior to going to sleep.
Of course, this test series is too short for a hard, solid, scientific and statistically relevant statement. However, doing such a full scientific study would take at least 60 days and 30 test persons or vice versa – a time, I didn’t have and I am just one person. Nevertheless, I will present the results of my little test.
I saw a notable difference in the appearance of my skin when I used the cream vs. when not applying a cream at all. My dry skin areas looked “older” and drier without than with application of the product. Or in other words, when I had applied the renewal cream the night before, my skin looked fresher in the morning as compared to the mornings when I had not applied the cream prior to going to bed. Thus, spending the time for application was definitively making a difference the next morning for my skin. In this sense,
The jojoba intense overnight renewal cream gives beauty sleep a whole new meaning.
The jojoba intense overnight renewal cream is available in a 1.7 fl. oz. jar for $52.95 at The Jojoba Company. Thus, its price is higher than drugstore night renewal creams. However, its ingredients are 100% natural which is important for many women. In the class of natural products, the price falls in the typical range for a cream of this quality. In my opinion, the cream is worth its price when you want a 100% natural product that works.
