The French inspired navy tweed sheath dress with fringe tape details in today’s outfit is a sample of my choice from SheIn. I picked this dress because the classic cut and tweed fabric make it perfect for work outfits in the cold season. It can be easily styled with shirts, blouses or layering tops underneath in fall and early spring, and with sleek silk or cashmere sweaters in winter. On extremely cold days, a cardigan over the dress and shirt or turtleneck sweater underneath are great styling options.
The SheIn dress has a tailored fit and is made from no stretch 100% polyester tweed fabric. The fabric has some hint of metalic thread which creates interest to the white and navy weave of the tweed. The fabric is very soft and feels great. When pressing it between the fingers for a minute or two, it bounces back. Doing so is a hint that the fabric does not wrinkle easily. The seams are accurate and there is no tearing. The dress has a lining which is great as it avoids that the dress rides up when you walk. The lining does not show, no matter what funny moves I tried.
To get a great fit, it is important to compare your measures and those in the SheIn size chart to order the right size. I ordered a size S and it fits perfectly. I allowed about an inch easy for my breast, waist and hips for movement. When your tape doesn’t have readings in cm use the google online converter.
When you are over 40 and are worried about the length of the dress, always check the body height of the model that presents the dress. She was 5 ft 7 (1.70 m), while I am 5 ft 4 (1.63 m). Thus, on me the dress hit just above the knee, which is the most flattering point for my legs. when I sit down the length is work appropriate as well.
SheIn offers free standard shipping, and free express shipping for orders over $99 (USD).
The navy tweed sheath dress with fringe tape details is currently on sale for $29.99, i.e. 36% off from its original price of $46. The dress is a work wardrobe basic staple meaning that it can be worn at least once every one to two week. The sleeveless style permits easy adjustment to the season with warm bold colors in fall, dark colors or white in winter, and pastels on still chilly days in spring. Thus, I assume to wear it thru April, which makes about 12 to 18 times at least during this cold season. the classic cut also permits wearing it for another cold season. Doing so means about 30 or more outfits, i.e. the cost-per-wear gets under $1 within a year. Per my criteria, this SheIn navy tweed sheath dress has a great price-performance ratio. I would buy the dress myself. ❤
