Today’s Ageless Style Linkup is devoted to Summer Favorites.
Of course, what comes up first in mind when hearing summer favorites are shorts and beach wear or whatever one wears on summer vacation. However, not everybody has the summer off. Which may be a good thing, as otherwise we couldn’t enjoy vacation, a dinner on the deck at the sea, shopping, … You name it.
Dresses are great for professional summer looks
The heat of summer asks for light dresses to stay in style and look professional at work. The thing to tackle each hot summer day is how to stay cool on the commute to and from work and during lunch break and staying comfortable at work in the air conditioned office.

Layering friendly dresses are key
In summer, I love to wear dresses. One can easily add a cardigan or even a shirt as cover-up in the chilly air conditioning at work or late at night when it colds down.
Dresses also look great with a denim jacket. On rainy days, dresses can be worn as a skirt with a light sweater for work and a trench coat makes a professional outerwear for the commute (see OOTD).
Skip ironing with jerseys
I am not a big fan of ironing in summer. It’s already hot, right? To be honest, I am not a fan of ironing at all. 😉 Thus, I have a lot of jersey knit type dresses that won’t wrinkle during the commute or in the laundry. Thus, these Karina and eShakti dresses (photos above) are among my summer favorites. Tweet this tip.
What are your summer favorites? What do you wear to work in summer or do you have the summer off? What is your summer weekend style? What is your summer vacation style? Let me know by commenting here I am curious.
