You may know this situation. A lovely, affordable garment fits perfectly, and would go with many pieces in your wardrobe. However, you read the care instructions Dry Cleaning Only, and you put the  garment back onto the rack. The problems: driving to the dry cleaner is a 40 minute round trip, dropping the piece off involves paperwork and advance payment, waiting half a week, another trip for pick-up. Worst, the dry-cleaner clicks the customer-identifier tag into the fabric of your fancy dress instead to the clothes tag! Here is my solution to all these problems. Ever since I was introduced to Dryel at-home dry cleaning, the tag isn’t no longer a reason for rejection of an otherwise perfect item. Read about the freedom of at home dry cleaning gives you.

How Trying Dryel Changed my Mind

Well, that was before a girl friend of mine introduced me to Dryel at-home dry cleaning. Since she was so excited about at-home dry cleaning, I tried it myself. I got the Dryel Starter Kit.

I immediately understood her excitement!

I save time with Dryel at-home dry cleaning as I don’t have to drive to the dry cleaner. Dryel is easy to use as you can see in my infographic on how to use Dryel.

Dryel starter kit and refill
Dryel Starter Kit (left) and Refill (right). The former includes a reusable fabric protection bag, 3 FL OZ booster spray, and 4 ultra cleaning clothes for at-home dry cleaning in your own dryer. It is good for 4 loads with up to 5 pieces. The refill box includes a booster spray and 8 ultra cleaning clothes, i.e., enough for 8 loads.

What Is in the Dryel At Home Dry Cleaning Starter Kit?

The starter package permits to dry clean 20 pieces at home at half the price I normally pay for one item at the dry cleaner. I only have to wait about 15 minutes to have my clothes cleaned at home in my own dryer instead of 3 to 5 days at the dry cleaner’s. The ultra cleaning clothes has biodegradable cleaning agents and no harsh chemicals. Furthermore, the cleaned items smell so good that I even keep the dry cleaning clothes, and put it into my underwear drawer.

Today I don’t put a piece of clothes aside when I love it, the price is right, it is a perfect fit for my shape and the pieces I already own, but the care instruction says Dry Cleaning only.

Stay in Control of Your Clothes Cleaning

There is also another thing I like about DIY clothes care. You probably know this meanwhile fade riddle:

What’s a woman’s nightmare? The dress she wants to wear is at the dry cleaner.

But now seriously. Has this dress-up nightmare ever happened to you? You got an invitation to a party that is the perfect occasion to wear that fancy dress. Such occasions are rare! Therefore, you pull the dress from the storage, and discover a big spot in the most visible place, too big to cover up with a brooch; or in a place, where a brooch would look odd, and draw the attention to the spot.

Of course, Murphy’s Law applies. Your favorite dress, it is the dress that needs dry cleaning! You now have to make two trips to the mall to drop the dress off and pick it up. Of course, it is the busy week because of that holiday, the deadline for a report at work, or whatever additional item on your over-committed week’s to-do list. Sounds familiar?

At Home Dry-Clean Is a Solution to Last-Minute Wardrobe Maintenance

My solution to this wardrobe/dressing nightmare is to always have Dryel handy in my laundry room. It just takes less than 5 minutes to pre-treat the spot, put the item in the reusable Dryel bag, put it into the dryer, set the dryer to the right temperature and time. Once the time is up, you just hang your item back on the hanger so it won’t wrinkle. You can find detailed instructions how to use Dryel on the package.

In the meantime, you can do what you had planned to do while your item gets dry-cleaned at home. What a time saver!

Tip: You can find coupons at Dryel online to save even more money.

The Freedom of At Home Dry Cleaning in a Nutshell

Dryel gives you the freedom to wear what you want when you want it! I love being in control of my own affairs. Try it out, you will love that freedom too! Not to mention who doesn’t love to save time and save on dry cleaning costs? You can find the starter kit and refills at your grocery store in the clothes cleaning aisle, at Target, Walmart or order it online from Dryel or at amazon.

Did you know that there is even Dryel dry cleaning pen the size of a liquid lipstick?

It fits in your purse with the makeup items and can give you the peace of mind to always be prepared when a “spill” happens. Remember except for Dalmatians and leopards, spots are never in style!
