Mother’s Day is a big economic event. However, it is important for every mom as well. Of course, nobody likes the commerce around it, but Mom would be so disappointed if you would not come up with something special for her.
Do what you did as kid
Remember, when you were in elementary school, teachers always came up with a DIY project to create a gift for Mother’s Day. Of course, most likely you can’t get away with this anymore, but you can create a Mother’s Day outfit that won’t upset her. In plain English, I always tried to avoid to break her fashion rules without violating my own style.
As a kid, you made her breakfast on Mother’s Day. Thus, why not inviting her for brunch? Make sure you make a reservation before you invite her. You might otherwise end up with having invited her for brunch, but don’t get a spot.
Last minute gift suggestions
Do you have already a gift for her? If not, here are some last minute gift suggestions beyond buying super-expensive flowers. Have you realized how the prices for flowers go up each year around Mother’s Day? 😦
Jewelry and accessories are always welcome. Did you know that you can also buy a gift card for a wooden watch. Then she can do the pick.
You may even want to give yourself a wooden watch as a Mother’s Day gift. 😉 One day in a blue moon I will get a second wooden watch for sure. The wooden band is so nice on the skin when it gets hot in summer
Pearls or a bag make also very nice gifts.
If your Mom is a snow bird spending the winters down south or travels a lot? What about a beautiful beach tote like the Needham Lane Pinapple Beach tote in the photo or a great cotton print dress as a cover up? They currently have a 20% off on your purchase when you sign up on their page.
