I dyed the cardigan that is shown in this post. It was the winter white cardigan in the photo below. I had bought the cardigan a while ago, but caught myself barely wearing it. The reason was, I love dark and bold colors. I often give pieces in my closet an “upcycle” when I recognize that I did not wear them for a while.
See potential of wardrobe items
I sometimes even buy an (easy to dye) item in white when they don’t have the piece in a color I like. The most important things when dying clothes is to know which fabric you can dye, which one you have to dye with acid or salt, and how the colors combine when you dye a piece that is not white. If you are interested in more details on this subject, please let me know (email is fine) and I will devote a post to it.
Do you modify your clothes? If so what do you do? Do you dye them, shorten the hems, altering the buttons? Let me know by email and/or link up examples in addition to your OOTD.
Top of the World Style linkup-party
Welcome to the 42nd Top of the World Style fashion linkup party. Thanks to those of you who linked up last week. You are all so stylish! I can’t wait to see what you are wearing this week.
As usual, the Readers’ Fav OOTD goes to the link you clicked the most, which was Dana Jo’s post. She is the blogger of Dana Loves Fashion and Music. As you know I have a knack for everything military. Thus, Samantha Blair’s white military coat with Russian faux fur hat became my My Fav OOTD of the party. This look has such a great From Russia with Love vibe. Samantha is the blogger at Fake Fabulous. You have seen her before here on High Latitude Style as one of the co-host of the Top of the World Style linkup party.
Congrats ladies, please grab your respective featured Top of the World OOTD button.
