When I was in college my style was quite different from what it is today. You can call it growing up or getting more mature or lifestyle change – whatever.
Nevertheless, I still love signature pieces from the time back then. You know what I talk about. This moment, when you see something like this one-of-a-kind signature leather ear cuff from ONYX XOXO and you think “Wow, I wish I had had that back when I was in college.”
To understand why this ear cuff from ONXY XOXO fascinates me today, you need to know that as an undergraduate I was a motorcycle leather pants or distressed jeans with T-shirt and suede bomber jacket kind of gal with ankle boots or Chinese black Mary Anne flats. I loved to accessorize with nothing but one big statement earring or even better an ear cuff like this one.
Oh, how do I wish I had had this ear cuff back then. Such a stunning piece! The ear cuff is well made and worth its price of $150. If I had seen it back then I would have saved the money or asked my parents to give it to me as a birthday gift.
The fact that this ear cuff has a spike, a 14 karat chain and genuine leather made it perfect for my signature style back then. Back then as I do today, I would have liked that it is an artist piece, i.e. one-of-a-kind.
Today, I also like that it is handmade in the USA. Back then I did not spend much thoughts on that buying local is good for the environment because short transport means less emissions.
Does it also happen to you that a fashion item sends you down your style memory lane?
The OOTD shows how my style has mellowed (?) and/or shifted from full Rock’N Roll like the ear cuff to American classic with just a twist Rock’N Roll (distressed jeans).
How has your style changed? Do you still get excited about signature pieces that reflect your style of your youth? Isn’t this ONXY XOXO ear cuff a perfect piece for a twenty something with my style back then?
