Boot toppers up your winter outerwear
When we did these shots, we did the “indoor” outfit first. After we had taken them, when I was putting on my “outdoor” outfit my photographer said “put your boot toppers on”. I was like “why are you saying this?” Actually, I wanted to put them on, but he said it before I even had a chance to reach for them. He said “I like them.” I was a little irritated, why would a guy like boot toppers, and asked “Why do you like them?”. He said “They look so friendly and brighten up the boots”. I never thought about the friendly and brighten up effect of them, but he is right. I always had looked at the boot toppers as a statement piece, more variety in my boot and booties closet, and better insulation to keep my feet warm, protection from getting snow in my booties on a day with fresh snow, and as adding a stylish item to my outfit or creating interest to my look.
Top of the Boot free shipping promo
I really like my boot toppers. I can’t tell how many compliments I got about my boot toppers since I got them from Marianne from Top of the Boot. I am so happy that they have a free shipping promo for their boot toppers exclusive for my readers: TOTB2. Unfortunately, it ends February 28.
Boot toppers are perfect for cold weather
You can guess it was a very cold day with -32.8F (-36oC). Under my outwear outfit I am wearing a stripped shirt under a cashmere sweater under my leather sheath dress. Not to mention the long sleeved underwear, a slip and two pairs of tights. The shirt and sheath are items that I wear year round. For examples of how I styled this shirt and sheath before see the posts at the links.
Do you have already a pair of boot toppers? Do you like boot toppers? How do you wear them? How do you style them? Let me know, I am curious.
