Pleated skirts are statements in leather
When I saw a pleated leather skirt the first time, I knew I had to had one. It is such a contrast. Pleats, the incarnation of proper school girl and leather the equivalent to tough girl. Here I am wearing my pleated black leather shirt with a gray cashmere turtleneck sweater, gray tights and gray Vince Camuto suede boots. I added my coin necklace.
Design your own jewelry
My dad and I planned to have this necklace done. He sent me coins for my birthday in 2010 and we designed this necklace over the phone. We, on purpose, did put them on in random order and not by size. It makes the necklace more interesting and gives it a little edge. Or let us put it this way: It makes the necklace more me.
Style your outerwear, it’s an outfit for the streets
While the photos above show the outfit that I wore at the office, the photo below shows the outfit I wore on my way to work. Temperatures are now below zero. This means they call for a thick coat. I paired my gray boots and tights with my black faux fur A-line style coat. This coat is one of the few pieces in my wardrobe that I got in town. Unfortunately, the store where I got this went out of business two years after Gottschalk went down. Gottschalk was the main reason why people visited the mall. Thus, smaller boutiques would get their crumbles. It is sad that now there is only one department store left in town.
Add a pop of color
To add a pop of color I took my 3.1 Philip Lim bag, a gift from my husband on our wedding anniversary.
