How I styled my cute leather shell to look professional

Layering for style and staying warm

The weather is getting colder and colder. Thus, I am adding layers to stay warm. Do you remember this leather shell that I wore in early fall? In today’s post, I styled it over a silk mock turtleneck sweater using the sweater as a further insulation layer on a (for Fairbanks) windy day. The leather shell serves as a protection from the wind that can contribute to heat loss (wind chill). I paired it with my plaid A-line wool skirt and tights. This outfit, of course, is the “under-layer” that I wore at the office.

Consider the outerwear or outer layer as an outfit too

For the commute I added my burned red leather coat, a scarf and beret for a posh Euro Chic look.

Do you layer for insulation and style or just to stay warm? What do you use to fight wind chill? Do you live in a windy regions? Let me know, I am curious. Comment by email.
